Danish eSports powerhouse Astralis have been crowned champions of BLAST Pro Series once again, reestablishing their dominance on the CS:GO scene.
The latest event, taking place in Sao Paulo Brazil, saw Astralis showcase why they are one of the most dominant forces on the international Counter-Strike stage, as they bulldozed through two days of best-of-one matches. This format saw Astralis take a 5-0 sweep of the competition, defeating the likes of ENCE Esports, MIBR, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FaZe Clan before overcoming Team Liquid in the grand finals. The final was decided on Overpass, and proved to be a favourable affair, in which Team Liquid managed just two points on the board against Astralis, with the final score coming in at 16-2.
The Blast Pro Series in Brazil was yet another highlight of the Danish team’s prowess, as it recorded their second consecutive championship win in just two months, having won the Katowice Major back in January this year. As the European side gathered the admiration of the crowd in attendance at yet another Blast Pro Series, it will be interesting to see if any other team will be able to topple the team in what is being dubbed as the “Astralis Era.”
