Twitch affiliate/filthy casual. Spends far too much time replaying 2D platformers, quoting South Park and complaining about the quality of British TV adverts.
The UKLC has thrown up a mixing pot of talent so far, one which has seen four different tower champions already. With DarkSpawn looking to bounce back next week, mid laner Corey Beeley shared his thoughts on the competition so far.
DS: With Diabolus taking the tower this week, it marks the fourth team to be holding the tower. Were you expecting it to be such an open competition? How are you feeling going into the match with Fnatic Rising next week, a repeat of DarkSpawn’s opening game in the UKLC?
Beeley: No I wasn’t expecting this much competition in the league, at least not at the top of the standings, I expected the academy teams to be far and above the rest but the middle of the table to be very close.
DS: DarkSpawn Gaming got off the mark in week 2 with a win over Barrage. Was it relief to get the first point on the board?
Beeley: I’m not sure if relief is the correct word, I think everybody on the team knows we are good enough to be competition for the middle of the table, but if was definitely nice picking up the first win, everybody was very excited. It proved we deserved to be in the split.
DS: How are you feeling going into the match with Fnatic Rising next week, a repeat of DarkSpawn’s opening game in the UKLC?
Beeley: We have had a lot of practice against fnc academy by now so I feeling more confident than I was in our first two matchups, they also looked very exploitable in their recent defeats vs MnM and Enclave.
DS: What do you make of DarkSpawn’s chances for the rest of the UKLC?
Beeley: I think if we continue to put the effort in that we have been, especially recently, we can for sure take games off of some of the teams that are performing better at the minute, we do have a difficult run though. Will have to wait and see.
Tune into the UKLC next week as week five kicks off for DarkSpawn taking on Fnatic Rising.
