Last month, we saw Red Bull’s fighting game eSports circuit come to an end in Washington D.C., and they look to be pressing forward by hosting the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour grand finals in Los Angeles in January.
The event is being dubbed Red Bull Final Summoning, and will take place on 26th and 27th January at the Majestic Downtown in LA. Twitch will be the exclusive platform for you to check out all the action, as Red Bull Esports teams up with the game’s publisher Bandai Namco to bring what is sure to be a phenomenal showdown to kick the new year off.
The finals sees a tournament culminating in a showcase that offers a $60K prize pool, $25K of which will be awarded at the event itself. It also sees what has been a remarkable year for Dragon Ball FighterZ, which released back in January and has been a staple of the fighting game circuit around the world. It took over the Street Fighter V entrants in this year’s EVO event, and has also earned the accolade of the most successful digital launch on console for any fighting game ever, so it comes as no surprise as to why it wouldn’t be enjoying such mainstream attention on the competitive market.
