On June 4th, adventurers in Tamriel will be able to journey into Elsweyr, the land of Khajiit. Skyrim aficionados will know the Khajiit as wandering merchants who are shunned by the Nords and forbidden from entering cities as they viewed as no-good thieves and/or Skooma dealers.
However, in this new expansion, you will be taking on the task of defending the cat-people from a deadly threat from the skies.
The Dragons have returned to Tamriel. Unleashed upon the world by the unwitting Abnur Tharn and the Imperial usurper queen Euraxia, the great Kaalgrontiid and his followers hunt from the skies and threaten to burn down the ancestral home of the Khajiit.
Indeed, the full title of the expansion Elsweyr & The Season Of The Dragon. You will not have the powers and perks of being Dragonborn and will have to find a different way to defeat these formidable foes. Elsweyr forms part of The Season Of The Dragon which is a year-long adventure with an epic interconnecting story. The rest of the story is still shrouded in secrecy but it promises to be something special.
ESO players already have been able to sample the home of the Khajiit through the regions of Reaper’s March and Khenarthi’s Roost but this expansion will be the full monty:
In this new Chapter, you can truly dive into the life, history, culture, and mythology of the Khajiit and their homeland.
In Elsweyr, you can traverse both fertile grasslands and scorching deserts, interact with moon-sugar farmers and wandering nomads, or confront merciless Imperial occupiers and roaming bandits.
2019 is going to be a potentially very exciting year for Elder Scrolls fans with this new expansion and Elder Scrolls 6 looming tantalisingly just over the horizon…
Elsweyr will be released on PC/Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation®4 on June 4.
