Team Liquid and Astralis will make their way to Saturday’s semi-finals down in the capital, meeting up with Natus Vincere and MIBR in what promises to be another day of hotly contested competition.
Today marked another gripping day of action in the FACEIT CS:GO Major 2018, which is currently running at the SSE Arena in London over the course of this weekend. Yesterday, we found out who the first two teams advancing to the semi-finals would be, which would be Natus Vincere and MIBR after fine performances in the quarters. Joining them will be Team Liquid, who ran out 2-1 winners earlier today over Hellraisers. Despite a brave effort from HR, they were eventually put down on Cache to crash out, and consequently didn’t make the final four. The last semi-finalists meanwhile will be Astralis, with the dominant danish side continuing to impress with a 2-0 win over FaZe.
The stage for the semis is now set, as both MIBR and Natus Vincere, who have boasted impressive performances so far, will go head to head. This leaves today’s winners to face off, as Astralis meet Team Liquid for a place in Sunday’s grand final.
Over 10,000 eager fans have flocked to Wembley to watch the events of FACEIT CS:GO Major 2018 unfold. If you can’t make it down to the SSE, then be sure to tune into all the action, via the official FACEIT website or over on Twitch.
