League of Legends eSports team HLE has bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Kim “SoHwan” Jun-yeong and Park “Thal” Kwon-hyuk. To match these two new signings, Hnawha Life Esports have also secured new contract renewals for star players Gwon “Sangyoon” Sang-yun, Kim “Lava” Tae-hoon and Kim “Key” Han-gi.
These players will make up a planned 10-player lineup, each with their own individual roles to play. SoHwan made his mark three years ago as a top laner, and was recognised for his performances for Korean LoL team Jin Air Green Wings, renowned for keeping cool under pressure and therefore giving HLE some much appreciated stability. As for other players, Thal made his debut for Red Bulls back in 2016, showing early signs of promise as he looks to reach his full potential. These players join up with previous signings Kim “Moojin” Moo-jin, Kang “Tempt” Myung-gu, Kim “Bono” Gi-beom, as well as Jang Gun-woong as a coach.
A statement from head coach Kang “OnAir” Hyeong-jong reads: , “We’ve rebuilt our team earlier than other teams, we’ll have enough practice and rest so that we can have good results next season. We’ll do our best to increase our strengths and reduce our weaknesses to improve.”
