Month in Review: October

A month filled with excellent releases, exciting and unexpected eSports victories and even more great content, this October at DarkSpawn has been the best so far.

Top Releases for October

Red Dead Redemption 2 – PS4, Xbox One

Building on the much-loved legacy of the original Red Dead Redemption, this sequel (that’s actually a prequel) brings the series kicking and screaming to modern-day gaming standards, with far more nuanced gameplay and interesting mechanics. For those who loved taking pot-shots at the wildlife and generally tearing up the landscape, this new title might not be for you, but for fans who loved the story and setting of the previous tile, RDR2 is more of the same.

WWE 2K19 – PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC

The twentieth installment for this sometimes-controversial yet still popular series, WWE’s annual release is here for 2018 with their 2K19 title, meeting that yearly itch wrestling fans have to get up close and personal with some of their favourite wrestlers in an all-out virtual competition. There’s no much new about this formula, but sometimes you can’t go wrong with more of the same. Read our review online today:
