The wait for RDR2 has been totally worth it. After seven long years in the making, Red Dead Redemption 2 is out. It was released on October 26 and has since been under the scrutiny of a lot of reviewers. What’s their verdict, you ask? It is overwhelmingly positive!

This game is a beautiful rendered model of the American wilderness and depicts the faded dream of the Wild West. This game and its predecessor are being hailed as this generation’s classic and maybe one of the most ambitious games ever.

Along with our own review, many famous reviewers got their hands on this game and gave it a comprehensive test before coming up with these reviews. If you weren’t already excited about this game, now is the time to join in. Let’s move right onto their verdicts.

We all loved The Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5 and GTA 5, but we can’t imagine many games reaching the amazing potential of their open world storylines. With Red Dead Redemption 2, we really have to change our opinion. This game is a 5/5, stone-cold classic because it combines brilliant storylines with the chilling feel of Rockstar’s other games. They have delivered another brilliant scythe-sharp script which can really affect the game. Other than this, they have brought forward amazing technologies that sync with the well-structured plot. Together, they result in a title that can be easily classified as triple-A.

The story of this game is so well told that you will be both emotionally and physically invested into the game. So much so that you’d think that scenes involving the horse in this game are more rousing than Kratos from the revival of God of War. If your budget allows you to buy only one game this year, then you should trust our opinion and opt for this Wild West quest.

This game has incredible heart – the sort of heart that is usually difficult to pin down by gamers but impossible to deny. The game features a wonderful story about some very terrible people and the setting is a great tribute to the vivacious nature of the Wild West. Red Dead Redemption 2 features so much joy and beauty in such exhausting detail that makes it something more than perfect. This is so because the game acts like a breathtaking eulogy for a world that has been ruined by society.

This game without a doubt is an absolute landmark. It has set the record for life-like video games and high water-mark worlds. They achieved this pedestal by drawing the portrait of the unexpectedly somber Wild West.  7 years in the making, they were not afraid to take their time.

There are many exceptions to the game’s outcomes that Rockstar has provided gamers. However, this story of a group of outlaws has somehow landed perfectly. There are outstanding and enjoyable twists in the game which morph the individual chapters and missions into an absorbing, sophisticated and exciting narrative. Other than this, the side stories in the game, that have to be discovered by gamers, are also intricately compelling and a world of their own! We definitely give it 5 stars.

If this game isn’t a 10/10, then we don’t know what is. It is set in an open world that has got to be one of the finest and most authentic ones that Rockstar has ever come up with. There are so many things to discover, so many people to meet, and so many things to do in the game. So much so, that we can classify the game as giddily overwhelming. This game is easily Rockstar’s greatest achievement. Not only is this true, but there such lack of compromise in the game that we have no clue where to even begin discussing it.

With Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar games have really outdone themselves again. The Van der Linde gang has been portrayed up-close in the most unraveling and compelling fashion. The storyline can be described as one of companionship which blends beautifully with the original predecessor. Also, the breadth and depth of the open world is somewhat of a technical marvel that we would advise every gamer to definitely experience.

It has been close to 8 years since the original Red Dead Redemption came out, and 5 years since Rockstar gifted us with Grand Theft Auto V. This time can actually be felt in every intricately designed inch of this sequel, in terms of scale and scope. In this time, gamers were spoiled by open-world games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Witcher 3. We couldn’t have imagined the level of detail in this game. The purpose and humanity of the sequel perfectly matches the original. Definitely 10/10!

We were so eloquently introduced to John Marston’s story in Red Dead Redemption 2 that we couldn’t think there was any space for more. Well, in Red Dead Redemption 2, we are going to know all about the whole Van Der Lindle gang. What their idea is, how they formed a community and how they became the death rattle of the Wild West. The game naturally does have you look through the eyes of Arthur, but the way the story depicts the whole gang makes it personal while depicting a larger tale at the same time. It takes some patience to gradually know every member of the gang, but this wait is definitely worth it – as is the case with every Rockstar title.

This game is an excellent sequel because the story is thought-provoking and emotional. So much so, that once you’re hooked, it is almost impossible to quit!
