TwitchCon is up and running all this weekend, and we have already seen some intense action throughout the past couple of days, with a particular highlight being the event’s Doritos Bowl competition. Taking place at the San Jose Convention Center, the event saw four of the most renowned gamers taking their teams into Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, with a $250,000 prize pool at stake.
And it was here where team captain Shroud led his team to victory and saw them crowned champions of the Doritos Bowl. Needless to say, they faced some pretty fierce competition from the likes of Ninja, CouRage and DrLupo, but ultimately it was team Shroud that came out on top. The team were awarded the grand prize of $100,000 from the prize pool, and put on a stellar performance worthy of such a reward.
DrLupo finished up in fourth place, registering 350.75 points, missing out on third place which was awarded to Ninja who finished with 374 points. Second place went to CouRage, who fell short with 431.25 points. It was a comfortable win in the end it seems for Shroud, who’s team racked up an impressive 499.5 points.
It was a great competition to watch unfold, and perhaps more importantly, it showcased Blackout in a major eSports event and the potential it has going forward.
