UKLC Week 2 – DarkSpawn Grab First Point, Fnatic Rising Take The Tower

It was another exciting week for the UKLC, as another new tower champion was crowned going into the highly anticipated third week. As for this week’s action, we finally saw DarkSpawn Gaming get off the mark with their first win, toppling Barrage after a stellar performance by Filip ‘Flirt’ Norrstam, who racked up 23.1K Gold in just 47 minutes, leading him to be voted the Unsung Hero by the LVP Twitter community.

It would be the team who would overcome DarkSpawn Gaming once more however that would go on to the final, with Fnatic Rising getting through a scrap with Diabolus to set up a meeting with Excel to challenge for the tower. Excel put on a magnificent performance to make up the gold deficit in last week’s final against Enclave, making this an intriguing fixture as Fnatic Rising continue to impress in the early stages of the competition. In the end, it would be Fnatic Rising who would push their way past a valiant Excel to become tower champions at the end of week two.

As it stands, Excel remain top of the league standings, though this will change unless Fnatic Rising are knocked off the tower next week. DarkSpawn meanwhile move up to joint fourth place, grabbing their first point to move level with MNM Gaming and Phelan Gaming.

The bracket draw for week three sees DarkSpawn going up against original tower holders Enclave. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday at 8PM GMT live on the official LVP Twitch channel.
