Week three of the tantalising UKLC has passed, one that saw a shock early exit, and for the first time a team maintaining their spot at the top of the tower.
The third week of the competition saw DarkSpawn Gaming put on a spirited performance against original tower holders Enclave, though their opponents proved too tough to overcome in the end, leaving them in sixth place on one point.
This result saw Enclave pick up their first point of the UKLC, whilst DarkSpawn will hope to bounce back in the next game having made an impressive start to the UKLC as they look to establish themselves amongst the UK’s elite teams.
Meanwhile, it was a more than impressive run out for MnM Gaming, who saw off former tower champions Excel in the bracket draw, before going on to defeat Diabolus in the semi-final to meet the holding champions Fnatic Rising in the final.
And it would be Fnatic Rising who would once again emerge victorious, becoming the first team to successfully defeat an opponent in order to maintain the tower. MnM suffered a difficult start that would prove to be an opening for Fnatic Rising to dictate proceedings, and ultimately set up a rematch at the start of next week.
